Taiwan's rising short video creators gather for "Reels the Summer Creators Party" hosted by CAPSULE

On August 25th, CAPSULE hosted the "Reels the Summer Creators Party!" event. Representatives from Meta, Bioré, MEN’s Bioré, Nestlé, as well as well-known creators Huang's Brothers Weiwei, SuperAwesone, and Gomei, were invited to share insights into short video content trends and tips for brand collaborations from various perspectives. The event attracted nearly 30 reels creators, including Gisele, Yangyang, Dinner Lin among others.

The event kicked off with fun games hosted by “8po Besties," followed by presentations from Sin, Meta Taiwan's Creator Content Strategy Manager, Jean, CAPSULE's Senior Creator Collaboration Consultant, Denise from Kao Corporation (Bioré, MEN’s Bioré), and Cornie from Nestlé. Attendees gained insights into the production techniques of "Instagram Reels " and the rapid development of the short video market, along with key considerations for brand-sponsored content. Notably, Jean mentioned a 300% growth in short video collaboration, comparing CAPSULE's data from the first half of 2022 and 2023, indicating a rising trend among brands such as Lipton Milk Tea, Fubon Financial Holdings, Clarins, and Kiehl's in collaborating with creators through short videos.

To help budding short video creators venture into brand collaborations, CAPSULE and the three participating brands specially designed the "Reels Collab Brand Cooperation Proposal Activity": creators whose proposals are favored by the brands stand a chance to secure brand partnerships! Eventually, SUFULAY, Brandon, and Chelsea Chiang were selected among many outstanding proposals. Brand representatives collectively expressed their difficulty in choosing, given the quality of proposals received.

In the latter part of the event, million-subscriber creators Huang's Brothers Weiwei, Super Awesome, the first recipient of the 4A Best Influencer Marketing Award, and Gomei, known for captivating brands with miniature character designs, shared their insights. They analyzed the differences between short and long videos, as well as the nuances of image-text commercialization. They also shared their personal journeys as creators, inspiring newcomers to persevere despite challenges.

The "Reels the Summer Creators Party" event, with its rare combination of physical workshops and brand proposal activities, received unanimous praise from creators. CAPSULE COO Esther Su expressed her excitement about collaborating with Meta and brand partners, looking forward to offering more assistance to these promising short video creators and creating endless possibilities in the future.
