The Series' Largest Exhibition to Date Makes Its First Overseas Showing
"ART OF MIKU" is an art project in which contemporary artists present new works inspired by Hatsune Miku and fellow virtual singers. This Taipei exhibition is both the series' first overseas showing and its largest to date, presenting more than 80 works — centered on new pieces by artists from around the world — across a two-part structure spanning an earlier and a later period.
In addition to general admission tickets, the exhibition offered "VIP DAY," where guests could enjoy talk shows with the artists. A newly drawn main visual by illustrator Naoki Saito was also unveiled, and alongside the sale of exhibited works, the venue featured limited-edition merchandise, visitor giveaways, and VIP-exclusive perks.
Products and Retail Spaces Tailored to the Local Market — Designing the Local Purchasing Experience
To bring a Japan-conceived art exhibition to life in Taipei, CAPSULE handled retail and venue operations tailored to the local market and business practices. Going beyond mere local operations, CAPSULE's work extended to creating an environment where local fans could easily browse and purchase products.
- Merchandise planning and production: CAPSULE proposed a product lineup reflecting the preferences of local fans, and handled unit-price design as well as the planning and production of some of the merchandise.
- Retail space design: From selecting venue fixtures to arranging products, CAPSULE designed the retail space with visitor flow and purchasing pathways in mind.
- Sales compliant with local law: CAPSULE produced sales labels compliant with local regulations, taking measures to prevent problems at the point of sale.
- Venue operations, logistics, and ticket sales: From store operations by local staff to inventory, logistics, and ticketing, CAPSULE managed everything on the ground.
Pre-Opening Local PR and Media Day — Building Awareness and Anticipation
CAPSULE planned and distributed press releases tailored to the local market and provided information to local media. Even before opening, the exhibition was featured in local ACG and entertainment media such as 4Gamers and Bahamut GNN, helping build local awareness and anticipation.
At the pre-opening media day, CAPSULE carefully selected and invited art-world figures and artists befitting an art exhibition. It also assigned the most suitable influencers/KOLs for each need, connecting the exhibition to messaging that matched the artistic nature of the works.
